The cost of diabetes is staggering. In 2012, the average annual medical cost for a person diagnosed with diabetes was about $13,700, with almost $8,000 in cost for diabetes care. That's 2.3 times greater than medical costs for a person who does not have diabetes. Even more devastating is the cost to one's health and life from tripling a person's chances of developing heart disease to an increased risk of limb removal or loss of eye sight.
Clint Kaho, FACHE, MSHA, MBA, has been named president of Baptist Health La Grange. He has served as interim president at the hospital since August. He succeeds Chris Roty, who was recently named president of Baptist Health Paducah.
